Our Kunafa dough forms the basis for various delicious oriental desserts. With our class 1 you get an exceptionally high quality, good elasticity and a quick oven cooking. This makes class 1 a perfect fit for products such as Mabruma (Kunafa rolls) and more.

Ingredients

WHEAT FLOUR, WHEAT STARCH, MILK, sugar, salt, rapeseed oil.

Recipe example:

  • Filling:
Mix 30 g of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar, 100 g of semolina and 1 liter of milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring, until the mixture begins to boil and thickens. Then let it cool.
  • Kuna fan:
1. Cut the dough strands into small pieces.
2. Mix the dough strands thoroughly with 75 g of butter/margarine.
3. Press half of the dough strands into a baking dish, pour over the cream filling and spread it evenly.
4. Place the rest of the dough strands on top of the cream filling and place it in the oven at 200 °C until it has acquired a golden brown color.
5. Take it out and drizzle cold syrup over it. Set aside and let the cake absorb the syrup.
  • Serving: Can be enjoyed hot or cold. Optionally garnish with finely chopped pistachios/walnuts.

Storage:

Frozen. In a freezer (-18 °C , or colder). Should not be refrozen after thawing.
