Kunafa with Nutella filling
Ingredients:
- 400 g kunafa dough
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 ½ cup syrup
- Nutella
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C and grease two baking trays.
- Melt the butter either in a saucepan on the stove or in the microwave.
- Place the kunafa dough in a large bowl and mix it thoroughly with the melted butter until it is evenly coated.
- Divide the buttered kunafa dough evenly into two parts and then distribute each part evenly onto the two greased baking trays. Gently press the dough down against the bottom of each tray.
- Bake both trays in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- When the baked kunafa dough is ready, remove it from the oven and pour the warm syrup evenly over the assembled kunafa dough.
- Spread Nutella evenly over the top of one of the baked kunafa layers.
- Place the other baked kunafa layer over the one with Nutella to create a combined "cake".
- Allow the compressed kunafa dough to cool slightly before cutting it into pieces.
- Serve with your choice of beverage and enjoy this delicious dessert!
