Kunafa with Creamy Mango Filling
Ingredients:
- 400g kunafa dough
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 liter mango juice
- 3 cups whipped cream
- 1 kilogram mango, cut into small cubes
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. In a large bowl, mix the kunafa dough, sugar, and melted butter until everything is evenly distributed.
3. Press the mixture evenly into a baking tray and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
4. Once the baked kunafa dough has cooled, chop it into small pieces and place a thin layer of it at the bottom of a glass dish or ice cream bowl.
5. Pour some mango juice over the chopped kunafa layer to moisten it evenly.
6. Then add a layer of whipped cream over the mango juice.
7. Distribute some mango pieces over the whipped kunafa layer.
8. Repeat the process of layering chopped kunafa, mango juice, whipped cream, and mango pieces until all ingredients are used and the dish is full.
9. Finish by pouring the last layer of whipped cream over the top surface, with some mango pieces on top.
10. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
11. Serve the cold mango kunafa bowl as a delicious and refreshing dessert.
