Kunafa with Nutella filling
Ingredients:
- 400 g kunafa dough
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups syrup
- Nutella
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C and grease two baking sheets.
- Melt the butter either in a pan on the stove or in the microwave.
- Place the kunafa dough in a large bowl and mix it thoroughly with the melted butter until evenly coated.
- Divide the buttered kunafa dough evenly into two parts, then spread each part evenly on the two greased baking sheets. Gently press the dough down onto the bottom of each baking sheet.
- Bake both sheets in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- When the baked kunafa dough is ready, remove it from the oven and pour the hot syrup evenly over the assembled kunafa doughs.
- Spread Nutella evenly over the top of one of the baked kunafa doughs.
- Place the second baked kunafa dough over the part that has the Nutella to create a joined "cake".
- Allow the compressed kunafa dough to cool slightly before cutting it into pieces.
- Serve with a drink of your choice and enjoy this delicious dessert!
