Description
Qatayif pies are a characteristic dessert during Ramadan and enjoy great popularity in countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt, among others. This delicate product consists of a half-baked dough with a cream filling , which the customer then deep-fries and serves with any syrup or sweetener.
Preparation:
- Heat oil for frying in a pan or deep fryer until it reaches a temperature where the product can be fried.
- Place the cream pie in the oil and fry until it turns a golden to orange colour.
- Take the pie out and place it on a platter or plate.
- While it's still warm, pour syrup (or other sweeteners such as honey) over the cream pie to give it a lovely taste.
Remember to follow safety regulations for frying and using kitchen utensils to avoid possible damage. Have a nice meal!
Serving:
The cream pie can be served either warm or cold, depending on personal preference. It can be enjoyed immediately after frying or cooled and served later.

Cream filling (MILK, SEMINAR, CORN STARCH, VANILLA), WHEAT FLOUR, SEMINAR, CORN STARCH, yeast, baking powder, bicarbonate, sugar, salt.
Storage:
Frozen. In a freezer (-18 C, or colder). Should not be refrozen after thawing.
Sustainability:
Observe the best-before date indicated on the packaging. The product has a shelf life of one year when stored in the freezer. After it is thawed, the product lasts for two days.
